From the Jan. 21st Atlanta Journal-Constitution: "It is an outrage," said state Rep. Tyrone Brooks (D-Atlanta), a longtime champion of removing the Confederate battle emblem from the flag. "Any other citizens bringing weapons on Capitol grounds would be arrested, no questions asked," Brooks said.

Mr. Brooks, you should put down your AK-47 and contact Capitol Security. The ceremonial swords were approved by Capitol Security well in advance when permission was granted to hold the annual Lee Celebration inside the Capitol Rotunda. Given your concern for citizen safety, I wonder if you know how many citizens in your district were shot or stabbed just last night? I'm sure Grady Hospital knows. Give them a call. Besides, you should put down your AK-47 so that Ben can climb in your lap and be comforted.
