Rare Photo of Lincoln.
Editor's Note: We haven't read the new book by C.A. Tripp (see link below), and we won't speculate on the accuracy of its premise, but the
rare photo above does suggest some merit to further investigation. Though we are reluctant to ever agree with the Log Cabin
Republicans on their central issue, their raisson d'etre, we thought our readers could evaluate the photo on its own
merits within the context. Lincoln did seem to like the theater a lot.
Seriously...we detest Lincoln the Tyrant and the war criminal and given those two attributes, we don't really care
whether he was homosexual or not. Noting that the late author is gay, we're skeptical and we resent pseudo-historians trying to
re-write historical figures (e.g., Alexander the Great) as homosexuals simply to forward a modern propaganda objective. We don't bash homosexuals
personally, but we do lampoon those activists and others who forward the premise we reject, that their 'lifestyle' choices and behavior are normal and morally acceptable.
As to the premise of Barry Saunders (link below), we do not advocate the destruction of any Lincoln history. We must NEVER forget what he did. We would
like to see more truth and less myth told about Lincoln, in which case we'd be confident that no one would ever suggest he was our "greatest President."
