FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
WHY GHC opposes HR 1442 - The Details
This Flag Bone resolution adds insult to injury from the rigged low turnout flag referendum. We urged the legislative leadership to fix the rigged referendum to avoid prolonging the continued heritage wars and the political carnage that will continue as a result. They chose to go forward with it anyway by blocking the Fair Vote Bill behind the scenes. They are gambling they can survive traditional Georgia's wrath through their divide and conquer tactics. The phony negotiations, the legislator threats and intimidation, the Gould Hagler ploy, and now HR 1442 are all part of Georgia Heritage War history now.
We view House Resolution 1442 as a continutation of these tactics, an attempt to provide some "heritage cover" to a legislature that has dumped its heritage but wants to control the damage. We already know who is who, including those who pretended to be supporters when they were not. GHC will put the laser on them, the voters will distribute the pink slips and HR 1442 will not save them.
Resolution 1442 "urges" schools to recognize Confederate history in April. This is a meaningless gesture by a legislature that not only followed through with a rigged referendum but told the AJC that they would ignore the result. The brazen hypocrisy runs off the scale.
Leave the memorial statue of John B. Gordon alone. We want no changes to anything until we have removed the next round of heritage impaired politicians. We will deal with the new landlords in the future.
The 1956 Memorial flag is already a "memorial flag" and we need no resolution to make it "official." This is like passing a resolution stating that your ancestors are officially approved by the State to really be your ancestors. The Memorial Flag will fly 365 days a year...not two.
A Fair Flag Vote was denied Georgians by the political leadership of both parties, by a heritage hating business community, and the Nuwaubian pedophilia cult's Tyrone Brooks. Georgia's heritage has been gang-raped by all of the above. They have made their bed and they can lie in it without the Flag Bone Bill.
Molesters often use candy to entice their victims, or as a token reward. We don't want your Flag Bone Bill. We want to pay you back for what you have done to us, and we will....in July, in November, and all the elections after that. Neither we or our Georgian heritage are going anywhere. Those of you who want to continue the Heritage Wars, we will give you all of it that you want.
