WHEREAS, The Georgia Heritage Coaliton is made up of individuals who are members and leaders of virtually all of the heritage organizations in Georgia,

AND, WHEREAS, The Georgia Heritage Coalition has been actively involved in the development and promotion of the proposed Fair Vote Act of 2004,

AND, WHEREAS, House Resolution 1442 (HR 1442) has been introduced in the General Assembly of Georgia which seeks to nullify the provisions of the Fair Vote Act and provides that the 1956 state flag can only be exhibited for state purposes two days per year,

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that The Georgia Heritage Coalition strongly denounces House Resolution 1442.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the resources of the Georgia Heritage Coalition and its members shall be deployed to oppose this Resolution.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that proper notice of this Resolution shall be made available to all members of the General Assembly through the media and personal contact.
