Donations for Augusta flag lawsuit needed!
by Woody Highsmith
Ever since Mayor Taliban Bob took down the Stainless Banner at the
Augusta (Georgia) Riverwalk we have been looking for a combination of
high profile constitutional law from a nationally known attorney who
can provide widespread public relations, along with strong local
representation.
The purpose behind this is unless it is stopped in Augusta, it will
run wild all over the country, particularly if the NAACP knows they
can get by with it, and every pandering politician in the country
will try to accommodate them.
The SLRC has a full plate and is spread thin. The contacts we made at
the Flagging provided us with a way to out-flank the enemy.
We have found an Attorney that will allow us to "CHARGE BOTH WAYS"!
Steve Boynton has agreed to take the case. Do a Google Search and I
think you will agree that he's a worthy advocate. Now we have to come up with his fee.
Steve Boynton is a South Carolinian, Editor of the
SC Law Review, who for years has been one of the lead attorneys for
gun owners and sportsmen in Washington, D.C. He successfully defended General
Westmoreland against CBS. He also represented the magazine that
exposed the Clinton scandals in Arkansas.
He is a high profile Washington DC litigator that wins cases.
In an email to me, Steve said, "This is certainly an interesting case
and I look forward to the opportunity of working on it."
The Georgia Heritage Council has pledged $500.00 to put Steve
Boynton on the case to match $500.00 from any other source(s) towards the balance of
$3000.00 to get started.
We are asking for donations to see this battle through. I don't want
this to be a FLAG `EM then FORGET IT Heritage Violation! There is too
much at stake! If all you can do is send pocket change, please send it! The
dollar you send might be the one that gives us VICTORY!
Make any checks out to Steve Boynton Flag Defense Fund, C/O Woody Highsmith, P.O. BOX 581, Evans,
Georgia 30809
