Reenactors Bring True History to Life –  Commentary by Joan Hough

Some folks actually consider it reprehensible when Confederate descendants and their cohorts dramatically bring to our minds those historical battles which occurred in that Second War for Southern Liberty. That War has been labeled by the politically correct, but horribly wrong historians, as THE CIVIL WAR. Some critics even question—how can anyone re-enact a battle while Americans are being killed in real war? They then sniff and declare, “Such insensitivity!”

When such a question is posed and such a declaration made, it reveals that the questioner has never in his life, attended a movie during a real sure enough declared war time, or even during any of the many, many Police Actions which replaced war since the United Nations was created to “prevent all wars,” or that if he did, he has either forgotten or chosen to forget that experience—or that all is ok if created by Hollywood, but not if performed by live lovers of the true history of America and its South!

Had the critic been around during World War II—had he been a regular movie-goer, he would have sat through movies of World War I times and through more recent movies revealing the stories of valiant World War II Communist-Russian soldiers fighting because their Communists so loved freedom, liberty and wanted to make the world free for Democracy—just as all good Communists do?

Certainly American boys were in the very process of dying over there while over here the theaters were filled with folks chomping on popcorn, sipping through straws—cokes and other “sody pops,” feeling patriotic because of their efforts in collecting metal and foil for the war effort, buying War bonds, and using their ration stamps wisely. These Americans movie-watchers cried as brave play-like soldiers died, laughed at the celluloid soldier boys’ jokes and smiled at the “Kilroy Was Here” signs appearing in some mighty strange and unexpected places depicted in the movies. As the audience was entertained, real American soldiers, sailors, and Marines “over there” were seeing that same Kilroy in real strange places, while real bombs were bursting over their heads and some of their ears were being deafened.

Surely even young Americans today, since becoming adults, have seen at least one of those made in wartime Hollywood movies---many of them now classics, and all of them “play like.” Surely today’s Americans are not unaware that while those movies were being made, real sailors, real marines, real soldiers, real airmen were bleeding to death, losing their arms, their legs and other important parts of their bodies---even eyes and portion of their brains. Of course the movie watchers realized that somewhere at the time that movie was made, some American fathers, brothers, sons, uncles, cousins, neighbors and friends –Doctors, ambulance drivers and nurses of both sexes were in War and were experiencing battle, courting death and suffering in one way or another.

Did any of the American movie viewers during World War II or during those non-wars in Korea or Viet Nam, etc. write messages opposing the showing of war movies because “real” battles were underway? Did any American, during any of these time frames, find the dramatic enactment of battles reprehensible? Of course they did not. Were the viewers back then less intelligent, less sensitive, less loving, less kind than today’s viewers? Of course they were not.

People, in the past, watching war movies while real battles were ongoing did not react in a puerile, silly fashion because they considered those who might do so as more than a wee bit nutty and absolutely ridiculous . Even the real warriors, themselves, would have agreed.

The present day historical re-enactments are, without a doubt, one of the most effective means of teaching, not only history, but the meaning of life and of death and the reasons for which men have, since the beginning of time, been willing to put themselves in situations of real and present danger.

The Confederate Re-enactors, themselves, must be classed among the very few Americans who know some of the TRUE American history—history unknown to most PhD level professors and unknown to an overwhelming majority of this nations’ brightest University graduates. Some of the latter contend that the war of the 1860’s was a war of Defense of the United States from a Confederacy which was attempting to rule the U.S.A.

Sadly, most professional historians must be counted among those who know not the truth, but accept only the Lincoln Cultists’ view of this nation’s past—happily continuing their highly awarded work of denigrating the history of the South, denigrating the South’s white Confederates and totally ignoring or consigning to Hades, the South’s black Confederates, Indian Confederates, the Catholic Confederates and the Protestant Christian Confederates.

The Re-enactors bring true history to life and remind observers, as well as themselves, of that time when American Southerners believed most strongly in the U.S. Constitution which had been largely made possible –written by a noble Southerner and ratified by their own Southern great or great-great grandfathers, cousins and Uncles, in a time filled with the noble and heroic actions of men of their own blood, their own DNA –men who had fought the most powerful military force in the world and, with the words of the Declaration of Independence written by a Southerner and signed by a multitude of Southerners ringing in their heads, had beaten the King’s men and declared themselves citizens with a central government which they decided would NEVER become all powerful because they had restricted it from doing so by the chains of LAW written, plainly for any idiot to read, in the U.S. Constitution. It was a government which would never impose unjust taxes on its citizens, a government in which each state’s membership was strictly voluntary, a government from which any state could, if its people so desired, secede and start a new government—just as was stated in the Declaration of Independence which they had approved.

The Confederate re-enactors know their American history; they know their fathers believed in a central government tied down by the chains of the Constitution (the Law as set forth in the Constitution). They know their Confederate fathers’ love of freedom, their love for the very dirt under their small farm houses, or their beautiful colonial ones, their love for their God and their families. They know all things that caused these American Southerners to become Confederate soldiers and to shoulder arms in defense of all they loved.

Our Confederates in the 1860’s fought fiercely, fought against overwhelming odds a Yankee enemy three times their number. They fought to defend their homes against an invading hoard consisting largely of non-English speaking, brand new immigrants well-recruited with large bribes, some the dregs of Europe’s prisons, all-- brainwashed by Lincoln and his Marxists with horrendous lies about the people of the southern part of America. Our white and our black Confederates fought against the black men that Northern whites had paid to take the place of the white sons Lincoln had drafted in America’s first draft, a constitutionally illegal one. (How many good Americans were slain by Lincoln’s men in that New York draft riot?)

The Re-enactors know that their Southerners had said goodbye to the U.S. government their own blood lines had helped create and that those goodbyes came only after the Constitution was defiled by a Marxist-infiltrated gang controlling the Republican Party. How many Americans know the truth--that the South’s secession, as for as most Southerners were concerned, had absolutely nothing to do with holding on to slaves, because they owned none.       

Many of the South’s fighters were black Confederates who had long been freed—some for generations—and they were not draftees. Some of these blacks, however, did own slaves which Northerners had sold them. (In fact the owners of some of the largest slave holdings in Louisiana were black.) Despite the fact that most of the slaves would have objected, just about all Southerners would have joyfully returned slaves to their original Northern owners, had those owners refunded even a portion of the original purchase prices.

Most of the Confederates were men of great religious convictions. Their leaders were amazingly well educated and well- versed in the superiority of a Republic form of government over Communism and, its sister, Democracy. Their knowledge made it impossible for the South to stand by and watch Marxist-Republicans convert the United States into a Socialist’s idea of Heaven—wherein those Socialist oligarchs drank up the rewards and the workers got the dregs, if anything.

Southerners refused to be part of a movement wherein all their God-given rights were erased, all States Rights trampled into non-existence along with all the individual rights which had been guaranteed to them in the Articles of Confederation and the U.S. Constitution and had been acknowledged in the Declaration of Independence. Southerners knew precisely why the South’s leaders in the secession from the British, had chosen to avoid making the U.S. a Democracy, and instead had created a Republic.

Southerners however, failed to realize that most of the troubles plaguing the North American continent in the 1800’s existed because of the concerted abilities of a newly arrived breed of immigrants who had fled the police in Europe following a failed Marxist Revolution. Southerners, at the time, knew little if anything about this breed of destroyers and referred to them only as “Radicals.”

“Suthrun” Re-enactors of today, however, are not so ignorant. They are aware that Marxism was behind ambitious Lincoln’s attacks on the South. They know that Marxism is original Communism and that control of the thinking abilities of men and women is most effectively accomplished by persons of such persuasion. They know that through inventive methods of managing propaganda and through clever techniques called “brainwashing” some of the finest American minds have been infected by the Communist virus. An easy version of this process of infection has proven highly effective on America’s young during their education.

The method for altering young Southerners’ attitudes so as to favor Socialism/Communism was, originally, pioneered in the South during the Marxist designed period the Republicans termed RECONSTRUCTION . The Communist approach, found so successful, was adopted throughout the nation. The program has continued today, not only teaching each generation that the U.S. government is a Democracy, (rejected by the founding fathers), but presenting sex education programs (which seem to exasperate teen-age illegitimacy), teaching courses in the desirability of homosexuality as a preferred life style (perhaps as a means of limiting the births of large numbers of children whose parents are true Americans ?) and presenting multi-culture preparatory sessions for The New World Order so desired by the United Nations and the Bush and Clinton segments of the ruling elitists. This approach is being utilized today both in public and private schools.

The dramatic retelling of the South’s won and lost battles reminds those of us capable of doing even a bit of abstract thinking, not only of what has happened, but of the roots still holding in place today’s organizations which are dedicated to the total destruction of our nation’s sovereignty. Confederate re-enactors know that these organizations are continuing the Marxist march to Socialized, New World Order, no borders Heaven wherein there are heavy progressive income taxes, carefully planned conditioning of children’s minds, international government control of banks, and factories; where care of ill folks will no longer be a private matter between a person and his physician, but will become socialized medicine with government determining who receives care and who does not, and when all care must cease. The old will be classified as useless—unless they are members of the Communist Oligarchy. Privacy of communication will no longer exist. Free speech, free press, rights to a speedy trial by jury, right to face one’s accusers, possession of private property-- all will disappear. Certain spoken words will be prohibited as “hate” words.

Redistribution of the wealth will occur as planned by the Marxists—with the wealth being looted from those dollars paid to the workers in wages. “From each according to this ability to each according to his need” will be interpreted by the controllers to mean that they fill their own pockets—they get the loot, we workers get the shaft.

The Christian religion, because the Communists consider it to be an opiate for the people, will be replaced. The all powerful central government will become the new, the one, the only god. This is Communism.

The original ten planks of Communism (now named “International Democracy”) as reported in “Communist Goals for the Takeover of America.” Congressional Record, January 10, 1963 are:

• 1. Abolition of private property; application of rent monies to public purpose.
• 2. Heavy, progressive or graduated Income Tax. (Paying your “fair share.”)
• 3. Abolition of rights of inheritance (Federal estate tax of 1916, reformed Probate Laws, etc.)
• 4. Confiscation of property of emigrants and rebels. (Government seizures, tax liens, Public law 99-570 of 1986.
• 5. Centralization of credit in the hands of central government --a national bank with exclusive monopoly. (THE FEDERAL RESERVE BANK, organized by Federal Reserve act of 1913—all local banks members of it and regulated by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation CDIC).
• 6. Centralization of communication and transportation –controlled by the Central government. (Federal Communications Commission and Department of Transportation) includes the Interstate Commerce Commission (1938), the Federal Aviation Administration, Federal Communications Commission, State mandated driver’s licenses, Department of Transportation regulations, etc.)
• 7. Factories and instruments of production owned by the all powerful central government, cultivation of waste lands, and soil improvement according to a common plan. (Corporate Capacity, the Desert Entry Act, the Department of Agriculture, Department of Commerce and Labor, Department of Interior, Environmental Protection Agency, Bureau of Land Management, Bureau of Reclamation, Bureau of Mines National Park Service and IRS control of business through corporate regulations.)
• 8. Equal liability of all to labor. Establishment of Industrial armies, especially for agriculture (Social Security Administration, The Department of Labor, women in the workplace since 1920’s as a result of the national debt and inflation caused by the communal bank, 29th amendment of the U.S. Constitution, the Civil Rights Act of 1964, various Socialist Unions, affirmative action, Federal Public Works Program, Executive Order 11000.
• 9. Combination of agriculture with manufacturing industries; gradual abolition of distinction between town and country by a more equable distribution of the population over the country. (Planning Reorganization act of 1949; zoning via Title 17 1910-1990) and Super Corporate Farms; Executive Orders 11647, 11731 (ten regions) and Public laws 89-136.
• 10. Free education for all children in government schools-paid for by people’s taxes. Abolition of children’s factory labor in present form. Combination of education with industrial production, etc. (Dept. of Education, National Education Association, Outcome based education.
