'Merchants have no country...' So once said Thomas Jefferson. The words are as true today as when he said them.

The framing for Jefferson's words referred to the habit of American business folks of lining their pockets by dealing with enemies during wartime. Specifically, during the War of 1812, New England port cities routinely re-provisioned British ships. They also supplied the British army in Canada with provisions. Yes, folks...they did this when we were at war with them...to make a buck. They have a word for this. It is called treason.

Jorge Bush's grandfather, Prescott Bush, carried this American businessman traitor flag onward during WWII when his companies were seized under the Trading with the Enemy Act. The documents on all of this are still available at the Fort Meade archives in Maryland today, but no U.S. media will print a word about it. They are scared doo-doo-less to do so.

By the way, after the war, the three million dollars the government got when liquidating the companies was returned to the owners. That was some punishment and the three million went on to be the foundation of the Bush political dynasty. We probably never would have heard of Bush otherwise.

Mind you, both Jeb and Jorge Bush never miss an opportunity to denigrate Southern heritage advocates because of the 'shameful legacy' of their ancestors. But massive hypocrisy is so common today that is seems to attract admiration for its creativity.

Al Gore got in on the Southern bashing, too. The fact that the family political mentor and financial backer was long time Soviet spy, Armand Hammer...well... why let that spoil a good thing like running for President?

Jewish journalist Mona Charen (Hammer was Jewish...non-religious) was the only media person ever to write about the Gore/Hammer 'legacy' during the campaign. I was shocked when I read it in an online AJC article, but the story disappeared overnight. I knew about it earlier because Heritage TV had done two one hour shows with Prof. Harvey Klehr, a U.S. Communist Party expert.

His book on the 'Venona Project' Soviet code intercept decodings after WWII, and Yeltsin's opening the CP Comintern archives in the 90's turned up the Armand Hammer documentation. He was a paymaster and money launderer, and he tended to be 'slow' in passing the money onto to its intended recipients.

You will read about the immigration version of this American soap opera below. The biggest supporter of illegal immigration is the U.S. business community. And their interest is solely in making money. All other negative aspects are of no concern to them whatsoever. These are the same folks who are illegally harassing returning Iraq vets who are behind on their bills.

The rapes, robberies, murders, gang warfare, the terrorists crossing the border under the cover of this Chamber of Commerce largess are not to interfere with the American enterprise system. They are just considered a cost of doing business. Not one which they pay, but one that you and I pay and our children will pay.

I would let them know how you feel about this. It's the least you can do. After all, they are doing so much for you...and to you.
