This message is for the truly dedicated patriots in Georgia who want to win the right to a fair vote on the state flag and more, to strike a blow for the return to the principles enunciated by the founders of our country.

It is a simple and proven method of grass roots taking control of the political apparatus in Georgia.

It requires almost no money and just a little time from the devoted folks who agree to enthusiastically participate. I call it The Patriot Chain.

The fruition of this idea developed from a conversation Jim Dean and I had about how we established two party politics in Georgia beginning in 1960. Jim's fertile mind immediately went off like a rocket blast. I'll define what we discussed and with thanks to Joel Coleman and the Southern Heritage PAC, add a headstart dimension.

As leader of legislative relations for the Georgia Heritage Coalition, Jim has adapted this plan as the base plan for the long campaign in which we are engaged. He is presently putting it into effect.

Here is the successful history of this plan which I originally called "the shoebox on a shoestring" campaign. As chairman of the Georgia Republican Campaign Committee in the early sixties, (Nixon vs. Kennedy) it became obvious we had little hope of carrying the state when the highest statewide vote the Republicans ever had was 28% and that was with a national hero, Dwight Eisenhower.

Calling on my friends from the Georgia Jaycees where I had been state president, and on Confederate descendants where I had been Division Brigade Commander in the SCV, I put together a huge crew of about 50 people, most of whom were Democrats.

I asked each to get a set of at least 100 3 X 5 index cards and a shoebox. Pretty expensive. Then I asked each to contact 100 people in their own area and fill out a card with pertinent information. Name, address, phone, number of voters in the household, unregistered voters in the house, kids reaching 18 or over by election time, and listed three issues to discuss with them. Finally, we asked if they would be willing to contact some friends and relatives.

Here's the math: 50 X 100 equals 5,000. Then, hopefully, at least 20% will join in and agree to contact and report on not 100 but only 25 citizens. Add another 1000 (20%) X 25 and you have an additional 25,000. Your imagination can take you to added levels and suddenly at the third level, you're cataloging personal contact with theoretically 125,000 voters.

Is there a hitch in the chain? Absolutely.

About one third will do very little, another third will do a partial list, but about one third will work diligently to make their chain work. At the third level, factoring in this fall off, you'll still have 60,000 to 80,000 active voters. This is grass roots politics personified.

Joel already has a start since he has recruited around 50 people who declare themselves as activists. They're in every population area of the state. How important is this? Assume each of these folks could contact and develop a card on just 25 people in their own district. Total, 1250. And, suppose just 20% of these, 250, would contact a total of an average of 10 each in the same district, total 2500. That district would have 3750 voters who are classified and contacted regularly.

How many votes to control a district? In the house, less than 3,000. In the senate (which includes several house districts) less than 8,000.

To prove the effectiveness to Jim, I asked him to talk to the most hostile legislators on our lists and explain what we're doing. Try it yourself, ask them to do the math. Jim will tell you everyone he talked to admitted it will work and suddenly had a new respect for GHC. He won't give you the names, but they will NOT be against us. Three are in leadership.

If there are doubts, in 1960 we produced the largest political crowd in Georgia history for Dick Nixon in Atlanta, the AJC said over 300,000. The Atlanta police said closer to 400,000. The real result was in just four years we carried the state and began electing our group of shoeboxers to local office and the state legislature. We can do it again, or maybe I should say UNDO it again.

With Jim's plan, we don't need the shoeboxes, just 25-50 index cards and a willingness to talk to our friends and neighbors regularly from now on.

This plan will not work effectively without one coordinator for every five patriots. Communication and coordination is a must. Jim is establishing a statewide central coordination center divided by regional or congressional districts.

Here is the final key to the success of this project. In working with friends and neighbors you may find some whose hot button is not the flag. We have three other issues which will hit their hot button and then we'll relate these issues to the same culprits who are taking away our right to vote, regardless of their choice.

Some examples: RELIGIOUS FREEDOM, removal of The Ten Commandments and prohibiting Prayer In Public. The very same people leading these efforts, The Southern Poverty Law Center and the ACLU are part of the left wing group pushing the denial of the right to a fair choice vote on the Georgia flag.

GAY RIGHTS and GAY MARRIAGE, also being pushed by the Southern Poverty Law Center with help from the Atlanta Chamber of Commerce and the NAACP. See Julian Bond's (NAACP Chairman) support of gay marriage. This same Julian Bond publicly descibed the Confederate battle flag as a "swastika." See former Chamber President Arthur Blank, Home Depot, who withdrew all financial support to the Boy Scouts of America because they wouldn't allow gays to be scout leaders. This same man leads the drive to deny Georgians the fair choice of their flag. Blank has also been sued at least twice by Home Depot employees for sexual harassment.

ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION - Look who is involved in trying to keep the flow of illegals flourishing. The same people, led by members of the Atlanta Chamber of Commerce. Home Depot has been investigated for hiring illegals. The left wing is even pushing a bill in the legislature to give the illegals drivers licenses which means giving them access to voter registration.

By tying these issues to THE DESTRUCTION OF AMERICA the average voter will see the linkage to the people's right to a fair vote on their flag. IF THEY CAN STEAL THE FLAG, WHO WILL STOP THEM? These UnAmericans are on a roll.

It comes down to this: Our Patriot Chain versus the UnAmericans.

Depriving Georgians of the right to a fair choice vote for their flag is emblematic of the growing attempt to destroy American culture, history and our Republic.

Please don't just read this and do nothing. We're asking so little of you. You can be a traditionalist or an activist and jointly contribute to our heritage and our country. This is not a let someone else to do it. This is a solemn obligation for all who claim Georgia and Southern heritage to stand up, join in and be counted.
