2004 RUNOFF ELECTION - Commentary by J.A. Davis
In the next day or so you will be getting the report of GHC's Director of Governmental
Relations, Randolph Phillips. Randy will give you his expert analysis of where we stand in Georgia going into the November
elections. Look forward to it.
In the meantime, I wanted to give you a report on the general runoff results
relative to our recommendations, plus some other comments which you may find either informative or provocative, or both.
The GHC-recommended candidates for the runoff elections came out well.
In the two congressional races we addressed, we broke even at one and one. Lynn
Westmoreland whomped Dylan Glenn with 55% of the vote. Robert Lamutt, who we endorsed, lost to Tom Price who had 54%.
Interesting in these races and some others is the fact that several
Republicans foolishly violated Reagan's 11th Commandment by getting themselves involved
in a primary between members of their own party. Newt Ginrich and
Sonny Perdue are noteworthy in this regard. Gingrich showed how out-of-tune
he is by backing both losers. Perdue's support record overall, including some other races,
leads one to believe he has no coat-tails and now has made more Republican enemies in the persons and supporters of those whom he opposed.
There is no question in my mind the NeoCons of the Bush administration
were influential in both Gingrich and Perdue's ill-advised decisions, in these and other races.
A good example is in the Georgia Senate
District 50 race where all sorts of last minute smear tactics were used
in radio commercials to attempt defeat of Nancy Schaefer. They didn't fool the
voters who gave Ms. Schaefer almost 54% of the vote. GHC endorsed and worked for Ms.
Schaefer.
In this race, the NeoCons tried to bring the League of the South into
the fray, maintaining that because Ms. Shaefer supported projects such as
Ten Commandment rallies sponsored by the League, she is somehow "unpatriotic" and
and supportive of a "hate" group. Those lies didn't wash.
Evidence there is a resurgence of pro-heritage winning candidates are
the victories of Ms. Schaefer, Jeff Chapman in Senate District 3, and Dan Weber in District 40. We lost with Mitchell
Kaye, 46%, in District 32. Three out of four ain't bad.
If we hold these gains, add some more in the November elections,
including Mike Crane, the Georgia Senate will have a new appearance and
the Georgia Heritage Legislative Caucus envisioned by GHC will make an
impact. Remember, we have some incumbent friends in the Senate, some
of whom have no opposition in November. The outlook is much brighter and we at GHC
can take some comfort in seeing our efforts begin to bear fruit. We are seeing the light of dawn
for a bright new day under the Dome.
Before getting to the comments on the House races, where we did
exceptionally well, a few other notations.
First, there needs to be a clear explanation of who the NeoCons are
and what they're up to. A short explanation might be they are a group of "reformed"
liberals, some former socialists, who joined the Reagan revolution and
worked their way into prominence in the Republican party.
Many profess some form of conservatism, such as fiscal conservatism,
often defined as "trickle down economics." The leading proponent of this is Jack Kemp, who also is the unofficial head of the Saint Abraham
Society. He is joined by such former lefties as Bill Bennett, who, as Secretary of Education, involved more federal education spending than any other
in history. He considers himself a moralist (the "social conservative" wing of the NeoCons) and has written books on
morality. Unfortunately, his personal gambling habits and debt collection from the casinos has
somewhat dimmed his halo.
Bill Kristol is part of this group, as is
Deputy Secretary of Defense Wolfowitz, along with former defense leader Pearle.
There are others who we will address later.
These NeoCons make up the "Zionist" movement in the U. S. government.
Note carefully the distinction, I say "Zionist" and not "Jewish." The Zionists are a powerful force and
have virtually controlled the foreign policies of the Bush administration. This has caused many to
label the current administration as "the war faction" of the Republican party. The coordination
of this group with the Israeli government is fairly well documented. Essentially, their goal is for
the U. S. to fight the wars in the Middle East that the Zionists consider in their best interests. This includes U. S. involvement in
Iran, Syria, and other locales.
Current domestic policies in the Republican party are heavily influenced by NeoCons. Candidates in the party are indoctrinated
toward their line of thinking. The media, once completely dominated by liberals, has a growing number of NeoCons. Yes, the Georgia Republican party is oriented in this direction. NeoCons are opponents
of Southern heritage.
GHC will be commenting more on what we regard as a serious threat to
worldwide liberty and local control and which threatens both our state and country. Jim Dean (Heritage TV) has been warning of this problem for some
time. We are certain to get some more specific commentary from Jim.
In the House runoff elections, we endorsed only
a few candidates and it appears as though we're batting 1000. Tim Bearden in House District 68 won a cliffhanger
that may be recounted. Less than 100 votes were the difference. Caution! Watch out, the NeoCons will try to steal this one.
In House Dstrict 95, Robert Mumford won with 53.7% and Bobby Reece, in
District 98, won with 56.6%

The other good news is that John Noel, the turncoat crybaby who falsely claimed
to resign his SCV membership that he never had, was roundly defeated and guess
who did him in? The Black Caucus. That says a lot for their loyalty and
his pandering.
Look for Randy's analysis coming soon. I'm sure he'll feel good about the progress
we have made, and the future it holds.
