The Georgia Heritage Council which has been operating for almost a
year has announced plans to significantly increase its services and representation for all who
have the desire to see improvements in the public perception of heritage related issues in Georgia.
Membership is not limited to Georgians. We want our rolls to include
the true patriots who support Georgia's heritage, wherever they live.
The GHC Steering Commitee, made up of members of Georgia's leading
heritage organizations, have devised a plan where anyone can take a share
in the projects and programs we have underway and those about to be
introduced.
Money and high dues income is not our objective. Our goal is to have members strategically located
throughout Georgia and elsewhere connected by email, website and telephone to leverage our voting strength and to demonstrate the concern and
determination of Southern heritage voters. We want to organize our strength into a formidable voting bloc with a clarion voice. Full voting membership
begins at only $5 per year.
Working in the Georgia legislature this past year and coming close to
getting our Fair Vote Referendum legislation to a vote taught us one big lesson. Without local names, faces and voices, our
clout with the legislators is seriously weakened. We need people in all 159 counties who are first listed as GHC members and secondly,
willing to make a phone call, send a fax, or an e-mail to local legislators.
Our members in the counties will be organized and counted in their appropriate
Congressional Districts. Each district will form its own local organization in accordance with GHC guidelines and goals.
A formal district organization will be formed upon reaching 100 members in the counties making up that district. There will be district and state
meetings, events, and opportunities for friends and families to participate together in programs and projects designed to restore the
honor of our Southern heritage and our ancestors, to restore the sovereign will of the people and to preserve the best of our heritage for our descendants.
We know everyone can't participate in everything and we don't expect that. But you CAN be a member for as little as $5
and support those who can and will help carry our mission forward.
From our membership rosters we will develop a statewide database. It will include information (kept appropriately confidential)
to enable efficient communication and to identify skills and talents needed from members in selected areas where the membership can help. Using the database GHC
will be able to keep our members informed of what is happening in THEIR area, as well as the state. From the database we hope to be
able to stimulate communications to specific legislators from numerous registered voters (GHC members) in a relevant area. We will sponsor district functions
where our county members can bring their elected officials to get a full and fair hearing about GHC, our mission and the important issues that concern us all.
We will be involved in local community service.
For those who wish to make a little larger contribution to build this "Heritage network," please note in the application
the John B. Gordon Escort at $25 per year, the Button Gwinnett Patriot at $50 per year, and the James Oglethorpe Founders at
$100 per year. Members of each of these groups will recieve permanent numbered badges in the order of their membership and special
reserved seating at events. Gordon Escort will be recognized as a group. The Gwinnett Patriots will additionally be recognized in the
event program. The Oglethorpe Founders will be recognized in the program and introduced separately at each event.
You don't have to be in the Gordon, Gwinett or Oglethorpe units to have a full
voting membership. That is yours for only $5.
As you can see, our goal and intent is to build a large and powerful heritage network efficiently connected by a database of members
and related technology tools. In this regard, we urge you tell your friends where they can find their application on our website (see links below). If they can't get our
website, print out some applications and pass them out to your friends and fellow Georgians. This is JOB 1 at GHC and will continue to be
until every scalawag in Georgia surrenders unconditionally.
Thanks for joining with us. Our motto is, and we hope you'll agree, "There just ain't no end to doin' good..."
and having fun doing it.
Please don't delay, fill out your application and get it in now. Payment may be made online by PAYPAL or by check via U.S. Mail. Make a list of at least 10 others in your county you will
contact to join.
