Alarmed at Unanswered Questions, Are You?, by J. A. Davis
The more this illegal immigration pot stews the more concerned I become. Bad
enough is what we know for fact. Alarming is what we don't know and what is purposefully being withheld from the public.
Alarmed is a strong word that should require some thought before use.
At this point it seems entirely appropriate. I am alarmed. Are you?
Let's just look at some unanswered questions.
Where is the real summary the meeting between George Bush and Vincente
Fox? We have tidbits, such as Jorge calling the MinuteMen "Vigilantes," or
Ms. Rice indicating they are "unlawful."
What about the Totalization Treaty between the U. S. and Mexico? Does
it indeed vary as much as reported from the treaties we have with 20 other nations?
Will illegals be able to qualify for Social
Security from the U. S. with a little as two years with both phony and real Social Security numbers? Our citizens
have to put in a minimum of ten years.
Will we see the report from the State Department on their
recommendations as to how to accommodate whatever the program of totalization with Mexico
is?
What about the report from the Immigration Service which purports to lay
out the plan for implementation of making more than ten million illegal
aliens "legal" in one fell swoop while encouraging millions more to arrive in toyland?
Where is the report from Social Security on the effects of these
proposals to include illegals as beneficiaries? The same with Medicare. Where are the statistics on el doomsday, busto?
Why is the administration dragging its feet on legislation which would
void "anchor babies" from citizenship in the U. S.?
Why is the administration and the mainstream media withholding
information on a sudden outbreak of diseases such as Tuberculosis and Leprosy?
Why are increased crime statistics in the
vicinity of the borders being suppressed?
Why are identified Middle Eastern illegals
caught illegally entering the U. S. not announced? Why are they
released?
Why is no action being taken to curb the
fraud and corruption in Social Security and Medicare resulting in
estimates of losses in the high billions?
Why is it that the Mexican drug cartel seems to gain easy entry through
illegals arriving in the U. S.?
The duplicity in Georgia ties into the overall scheme. Consider this:
- Governor Perdue has wholeheartedly endorsed the Bush immigration plan.
- Several bills were introduced in the recently concluded General Assembly which would mirror some of the Arizona anti illegal immigration
statutes, without the need for a Constitutional Amendment.
- These bills reportedly would have eliminated about 60% of the illegal
problem in Georgia.
What happened to them? There are Georgia names we
should be taking. Who detained this legislation? I want to know. You
should too.
It's alright for Georgia politicians to trample on the
Constitutional rights of business people with legislation denying them
rights over their own property when it comes to smoking. The
Constitution provides for "The Common Defense," foreign and domestic. The Georgia governor and the
legislature are conspicuously missing. Should you ask why?
Then Lt. Governor candidate Ralph Reed says he backs Governor Perdue
"all the way" and anyone who wants to go after Sonny has to go through him, or
words to that effect. Is Reed backing Sonny's support of the Bush immigration
debacle? Likely so, since Ralph was the guy who headed and articulated the Bush campaign in the
Southeast.
Will Sonny and Ralph see the light and buckle from their pro-Bush
immigration stands? At a recent Republican meeting, Ralph showed signs of backing off Sonny when he said "If he had been in the legislature,
he would have supported the Fair Vote bill." Sure he would. What about Sonny's support of
illegal immigration, Ralph?
These are just a few of the unanswered questions of the moment. They
are alarming if you're concerned about the future of our Republic. There will be more to
come. I now lateral the ball to Jim Dean who has a truckload of unanswered questions.
Watch for his next column on the website not afraid to ask.
